Forney were divorced prior to her death.4 He died from respiratory failure after a stroke at 5:00 pm on 26 October 1964 at Autumn Hills Nursing Home, 817 Janisch, Houston, Harris County, Texas, at age 74 years and 16 days.2 He was buried on 28 October 1964 at Glenwood Cemetery, 2525 Washington Avenue, Houston, Harris County, Texas.2
