     Etienne Alexandre Latiolais was born on 16 August 1813 at Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.1 He was the son of Luffroy Latiolais and Marie Josephine Daigle.1 He was baptized on 10 October 1813 at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, at age 1 month and 24 days.1 He was the godfather of Joseph Latiolais baptized on 6 October 1821 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Grand Coteau, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.2 He married Urazie Breaux, daughter of Joseph Breaux and Marcelline Carmouche, on 7 December 1835 at Cathedral of St. John, 914 St. John Street, Lafayette, Lafayette Parish, Louisiana.3
