     Felicienne DeJean was born on 29 July 1842 at Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.2 She was the daughter of Honore Dejean and Euphrosine Close.2 She appeared as a daughter on the census of 5 October 1850 in the household of Honore Dejean and Euphrosine Close at St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.3 She married Joseph Roy, son of Pierre Ulger Roy and Nanette Zilia Nezat, on 1 June 1859 at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.4 She appeared on the census of 3 June 1880 at 1st Ward, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, in the household of her husband Joseph Roy.5
