He was baptized on 26 June 1807 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana, at age 29 days.1 He and Nanette Zilia Nezat may have been married on 26 August 1831 at Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.2 He and Nanette Zilia Nezat were related to each other as first cousins. He married Nanette Zilia Nezat, daughter of Alexandre Nezat and Josephine Euphamie Roy, on 22 September 1831 at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.3,4 He was listed as a son in the succession of Valerien Roy on 17 July 1838 at Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.5 He and his wife Nanette Zilia Nezat appeared on the census of 30 March 1850 at St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.6 He was listed as the husband in the succession of Nanette Zilia Nezat on 13 April 1875 at Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.7
