     Leigh Richmond Dyer was born on 22 February 1849 at Madison County, Tennessee.1 He was the son of Joel Henry Dyer and Susan Lynch Miller.1 He appeared on the census of 6 November 1850 in the household of Joel Henry Dyer and Susan L. Dyer at District 16, Madison County, Tennessee.2 He appeared on the census of 2 July 1860 in the household of Joel Henry Dyer and Susan L. Dyer at Fort Belknap, Young County, Texas.3 He appeared on the census of 18 July 1870 at Belknap, Young County, Texas.4 He was employed herding stock on 18 July 1870 at Belknap, Young County, Texas.4 He married Willie Cantello on 16 December 1883 at Wichita County, Texas.5,6 He and his wife Willie Dyer appeared on the census of 6 June 1900 at Precinct 3, Goodnight, Armstrong County, Texas.7 He died on 4 May 1902 at age 53 years, 2 months and 12 days.1 He was buried at Goodnight Cemetery, Goodnight, Armstrong County, Texas.1
