     Marie Carmelite Castille was born circa 1805.1 She was the daughter of Jean Baptiste Castille and Julie Stelly.1 A contract for the marriage of Marie Carmelite Castille and Jean Guilbeaux was signed on 26 May 1821 at Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.1,2 She married Jean Guilbeaux, son of Jean Guilbeaux and Marie Jeanne Arceneaux, on 28 May 1821 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Grand Coteau, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.3
