Louis Clement was born circa 1790 at Marseille, France.1 He was the son of Charles Clement and Marguerite Varfaille.1 He married Marie Anne Stelly, daughter of Jean George Stelly and Marie Barbe Miller, on 6 February 1810 at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.1 He was the godfather of George Stelly baptized on 9 June 1818 at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.2
