     Marie Rose Trahan was born circa 1770.2 She was the daughter of Pierre Trahan and Anne Brasseur.1 She married Louis Simar, son of Louis Simar and Magdeleine Tremble, on 18 November 1788 at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.3 She became a widow upon the death of her husband, Louis Simar, before 4 August 1794.1 She married Jean Baptiste Duplechain on 4 August 1794 at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.1,2 She became a widow upon the death of her husband, Jean Baptiste Duplechain, before 24 July 1816.4
