     Augustin Royer was born circa 1770 at Kaskaskia, Illinois Territory, French Louisiana.3 He was baptized on 6 February 1771 at Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kaskaskia, Randolph County, Illinois.3,1,4 He was the son of Augustin Royer and Dorothe DeGagnee.1 He married Marie Victoire Cormier, daughter of Michel Cormier and Catherine Stelly, on 7 October 1794 at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.1 He died on 31 January 1818 at Carencro, Lafayette Parish, Louisiana, at age 46 years, 11 months and 25 days.3,5,6 He was buried on 1 February 1818 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.3 He was the subject of a succession filed in October 1818 at St. Martin Parish Courthouse, 400 S Main Street, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.7,8
