     Placide Huval was born circa 1795.1 He was the son of Jean Baptiste Huval and Henriette Anne Doucet.1,2 He married Marie Thersile Bernard, daughter of Francois Bernard and Magdelaine Broussard, on 5 January 1813 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.1,3 He was the godfather of Magdelaine Felicite Martin baptized on 21 September 1828 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.4
