     Anaclet Cormier was born circa 1772.1 He was the son of Joseph Cormier and Anne Michel.2 He married Marie Magdeleine Richard, daughter of Pierre Victor Richard and Marie Magdalaine Brasseaux, on 25 July 1793 at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.1,2 He witnessed the marriage contract of Georges Mayer and Lise Berette Marks on 1 October 1808 at Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.3 He died before 25 August 1814.4 He was listed as a son in the succession of Joseph Cormier on 20 June 1818 at St. Landry Parish Courthouse, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.5
