     Amand Broussard was born circa 1754 at St. Jean Parish, Acadia.2,3 He was the son of Joseph Broussard and Anne Thibodeaux.4 He married Helene Landry, daughter of Firmin Landry, circa 1771.5 He was the godfather of Apollonie Broussard baptized on 25 April 1773 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.6 He became a widower upon the death of his wife, Helene Landry, circa 1774.5 A contract for the marriage of Amand Broussard and Anne Benoit was signed on 24 May 1775 at St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.2 As of circa 1780, Amand Broussard dit Beausoleil was also known as Armand Broussard.7 He, as the father of the bride, attended the wedding of Pierre Joseph Broussard Jr. and Scholastique Broussard on 12 May 1800 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.8,9 He witnessed the marriage of Edouard Broussard and Anne Thibodeaux on 9 June 1801 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.10,11 He became the godfather at Marguerite Broussard's christening on 12 July 1801 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.12 He witnessed the marriage of Eloy Broussard and Marie Broussard on 17 June 1809 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.13,14 He witnessed the marriage of Don Louis Broussard and Felonise Broussard on 6 August 1810 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.15 He witnessed the marriage of Maximilien DeCuir and Susanne Broussard on 11 November 1811 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.16 He died before 30 March 1818 at St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.7,3 He was the subject of a succession filed on 30 March 1818 at St. Martin Parish Courthouse, 400 S Main Street, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.7
