     Etienne Ardoin Jr. was born circa 1759 at Detroit, Quebec, Canada.1,2 He was the son of Francois Etienne Ardoin and Marie Josephe LaPoint.1 He married Marie Anne Recuron, daughter of Guillame Recuron and Marie Deruis, in August 1794 at Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana.1 He, represented the father of the bride, at the wedding of Hubert Landry and Euphrosine Legros on 4 February 1800 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.3 He became a widower upon the death of his wife, Marie Anne Recuron, before 19 March 1822.4 He witnessed the marriage of Edouard Broussard and Marie Doralise Ardoin on 19 March 1822 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.4 He died on 11 April 1829 at St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.2 He was buried on 12 April 1829 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Cemetery, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.2
