     Pierre Breaux was born circa 1770 at St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.2 He was the son of Firmin Breaux and Marguerite Breaux.1 He married Batilde Broussard, daughter of Silvain Broussard and Felicite Guilbeaux, on 10 January 1793 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.1,2,3 He witnessed the marriage of Julien Breaux and Euphrasie Melancon on 27 April 1813 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.3 He witnessed the marriage of Maximilien Carmouche and Adelaide Breaux on 17 September 1821 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.4 He became a widower upon the death of his wife, Batilde Broussard, on 1 March 1825 at Grand Pointe, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.5
