     Louis Simar was born circa 1790.1 He was the son of Louis Simar and Marie Rose Trahan.1 He married Francoise Granger, daughter of Joseph Granger and Marie Babin, on 24 July 1816 at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.1
