     Francois Labauve was born circa 1775 at St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.2,3 He was the son of Jean Baptiste Labauve and Francoise Broussard.1 He was baptized on 5 May 1776 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.4,2 He married Marguerite dite Eloise Hebert, daughter of Joseph Hebert and Francoise Hebert, on 9 June 1795 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.1 He became a widower upon the death of his wife, Marguerite dite Eloise Hebert, on 19 May 1801.5,6,7 He was listed as the husband in the succession of Marguerite dite Eloise Hebert on 22 June 1802 at Lafayette Parish Courthouse, Lafayette, Lafayette Parish, Louisiana.6 He married Marie Angela Fostin, daughter of Jacques Fostin and Francoise Trahan, on 30 June 1802 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.7,3 He was listed as a son-in-law in the succession of Joseph Hebert in February 1810 at St. Martin Parish Courthouse, 400 S Main Street, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.8 He was the godfather of Marguerite Landry baptized on 3 June 1810 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.9 He died before 24 April 1835 at Lafayette, Lafayette Parish, Louisiana.10 He was the subject of a succession filed on 24 April 1835 at Lafayette Parish Courthouse, Lafayette, Lafayette Parish, Louisiana.10
