Delphine Broussard was born circa 1798 at St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.1,2 She was the daughter of Raphael Broussard and Marguerite LeBlanc.2 She married Paulin Ardoin, son of Etienne Ardoin Jr. and Marie Anne Recuron, on 2 September 1817 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.1 She became a widow upon the death of her husband, Paulin Ardoin, on 30 June 1818 at St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.3 She was listed as the wife in the succession of Paulin Ardoin on 20 October 1821 at St. Martin Parish Courthouse, 400 S Main Street, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.4
