Marell Wilson Conway

     Marell Wilson Conway was born on 28 May 1919 at Henderson, Rusk County, Texas.¹ He was the son of John Thomas Conway and Ola Gertrude Armstrong.¹ He was graduated circa 1936 from Silsbee High School, Silsbee, Hardin County, Texas.¹ He married L. Iris Richardson on 23 December 1939 at Woodrow, Lubbock County, Texas.¹ He was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army and helped establish the K-9 Corp at Fort Robinson, Dawes County, Nebraska.¹ He retired in 1981, after many years of service, from American Bridge and Steel, Orange, Orange County, Texas.¹ From 1939, until being displaced by Hurricane Rita in September 2005, Marell W. Conway and Iris Conway lived in the Little Cypress Community, Orange County, Texas.¹ He became a widower upon the death of his wife, Iris Conway, on 14 December 2010.¹ He was also a farmer and rancher for many years at Little Cypress Community, Orange County, Texas.¹ He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Orange, Orange County, Texas.¹ He died on 31 August 2011 at Coleman County Medical Center, 310 South Pecos Street, Coleman, Coleman County, Texas, at age 92 years, 3 months and 3 days.¹ He was buried on 9 September 2011 at Parish Cemetery, Parish Cemetery Road, Orange, Orange County, Texas.¹
