     Gertrude Glenn was born on 11 January 1891.2 She married John F. Smyly, son of Samuel Bronson Smyly Sr. and Ida Desdemonia Freeman, on 8 February 1920 at Jasper County, Texas.1 She died on 5 April 1986 at age 95 years, 2 months and 25 days.3 She was buried at Morse Cemetery, Jasper County, Texas.2
