     Jean Michel Stelly was born on 1 May 1785 at Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.1,2 He was the son of Jean George Stelly and Marie Barbe Miller.3 He was baptized on 25 September 1785 at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, at age 4 months and 24 days.1 He married Reine Lalonde, daughter of Guillaume Lalonde and Agnes Wiltz, on 31 October 1807 at St. Landry Parish Courthouse, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.2 He died circa 1808.2
