He was the son of James Sexton Allen and Martha Emma Vickers.2 He and May Peery obtained a marriage license on 5 June 1889 at Weakley County Courthouse, Dresden, Weakley County, Tennessee.3 He married May Peery, daughter of William Almus Peery and Lougenia F. Rust, on 5 June 1889 at Weakley County, Tennessee.3,4 He was in a group photo on 24 October 1891 at Patterson Photo Company, Dresden, Weakley County, Tennessee. He and May Elenora Peery were divorced before 1900. He married Annie Powell in 1900.1 He and his wife Annie Allen appeared on the census of 14 April 1930 at 829 34th Street, Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California.1 He was self employed as a real estate broker on 14 April 1930 at Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California. He died on 13 October 1930 at Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California, at age 69 years, 5 months and 14 days.5 He was buried at Los Angeles Odd Fellows Cemetery, Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California.5
