     Edval Sonnier was born circa 1848.1 He married Marie Celestine Cormier, daughter of Alexandre Cormier and Susanne Celanie Ledoux, on 28 July 1869 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 114 N. Bienvenu Street, Church Point, Acadia Parish, Louisiana.1
