     Francoise Arceneaux was born circa 1765 at St. James Parish, Louisiana.1 She was the daughter of Pierre Arceneaux and Marie Anne Bergeron.1 She married Francois Carmouche, son of Pierre Carmouche and Genevieve Rousseau, circa 1785.1 She was listed as a daughter in the succession of Pierre Arceneaux in 1793 at St. Martin Parish Courthouse, 400 S Main Street, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.2 She was the godmother of Eufroy Bernard baptized on 25 January 1797 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.3
