     Austin Mott was born on 22 December 1919 in Louisiana.1,2,3 He was the son of Stephen Mott and Orelia Jeanise.4,5 He appeared as a son on the census of 26 April 1930 in the household of Stephen Mott and Orelia Mott at Pct 2, Orange County, Texas.6 He appeared as a son on the census of 12 April 1940 in the household of Stephen Mott and Orelia Mott at Pct 2, Orange County, Texas.7 He married Viola Agnes Nezat, daughter of Numas Luc Nezat and Alicia Mary Nezat, circa 1942.8 He began military service on 17 July 1942 at Houston, Harris County, Texas, as a private in the United States Army.1,2 He was described as being 5' 10" tall and weighed 166 pounds when he enlisted in the United States Army on 17 July 1942 at Houston, Harris County, Texas.1 He was a veteran of World War II, serving as a TEC 4 (Private) in the U. S. Army, Anti-Tank Company, 80th Infantry Division.2 He died in World War II, on 4 December 1944, at France, at age 24 years, 11 months and 12 days. He was killed in action right before the beginning of the "Battle of the Bulge" which began 16 Dec 1944.2,3 He was buried at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Meeks Drive, Orange, Orange County, Texas.3,2,9
