     Ira Ellis Graves was born in August 1831 at Mississippi.2,1 He married Mary Armstrong circa 1859.3 He became a widower upon the death of his wife, Mary Graves, before 11 January 1871.4 He married Lucinda Daugherty, daughter of Hiram Henry Daugherty and Charlotte Collier, on 11 January 1871 at Palo Pinto County, Texas.4,1 He applied for a pension on 5 September 1899 at Mineral Wells, Palo Pinto County, Texas.5 He died in 1911 at age 79 years.1 He was buried at Oak Glenn Cemetery, Jack County, Texas.1
