     James Ethelbert Crow was born on 8 July 1886 at Cherokee County, Texas.1,2 He was the son of Mansel Smith Crow and Rachel Annah Charlton.2,3 He appeared as a son on the census of 8 June 1900 in the household of Mansel Smith Crow and Rachel Annah Crow at Pct 8, Newton County, Texas.2 He appeared as a son on the census of 4 May 1910 in the household of Mansel Smith Crow and Rachel Annah Crow at Pct 3, Call Junction, Jasper County, Texas.4 He was employed as a laborer at a saw mill on 4 May 1910 at Pct 3, Call Junction, Jasper County, Texas.4 He was not known to have ever married.3 He died from bronchopneumonia at 3:55 pm on 16 May 1959 at Texas Confederate Home for Men, Austin, Travis County, Texas, at age 72 years, 10 months and 8 days.3 He was buried at Bleakwood Cemetery, Newton County, Texas.5
