     Matilda Browning was born circa 1832 at Louisiana.2,1 She married Napoleon Bonaparte Charlton, son of James Abraham Charlton and Rachel Ann Blackmore, on 30 August 1876 at Tyler County, Texas.1 She appeared on the census of 1 June 1880 at Pct 2, Tyler County, Texas, in the household of her husband N. B. Charlton.2 She became a widow upon the death of her husband, Napoleon Bonaparte Charlton, on 17 June 1896 at Colmesneil, Tyler County, Texas.3,4
